Yoga Movement with Tamara

Yoga Movement: dance your yoga or put some yoga into your dance. In this class you will be invited to dive into the deep well of authentic movement with in you. Yoga Movement, is a unique yoga experience developed through years of exploring through yoga and various movement styles. It is comprised of a comprehensive asana practice, deep inquiry, and free, wide-open exploration of the unique movement patterns and possibilities that we each hold with in. There will be periods of silence, guided meditation, a flow of postures, and periods of up beat music and guided yoga dance (no dance ability required).
Yoga Movement is for everyone! It is for yogis who desire more flow and freedom in their movement, for those who have never taken a yoga class, for dancers who desire more connection in their movement, for all body types, any physical ability, for anyone and everyone who desire a more authentic way of moving in the world and have some fun in the discovery process.

Tamara Juel is a trained and certified therapeutic yoga teacher & Yoga/Movement Therapist. She received her training through Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, in Bristol, Vermont, as well as Pre-natal and Post-partum yoga training through Niroga Institute in Oakland, CA. Her Yoga lineage comes from Tantric yoga rooted in the Bhakti (devotion) approach to yoga. She teaches, lives and breathes from the heart. She offers Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yoga Movement©, Prenatal and Postpartum yoga classes and workshops. The Yoga Movement classes offer an Ashtanga, Iyengar, Phoenix Rising, & Hatha yoga approach to the postures, with additional elements of free movement, flowing sequences, static postures, and inner inquiry. Tamara’s dance back ground is in ballet, modern, jazz, belly dance, and many somatic dance forms such as Bartinieff fundamentals. Tamara believes in the wisdom of the body, and in assisting others in drawing out their inner teacher. She pulls from her experience as a massage therapist, Yoga/Movement Therapist, birth doula, midwives assistant, yogi, mother, and lifelong dancer to bring a depth and passion to her classes and workshops.
